SPECIALS CLASSES

TCAPS Montessori School takes pride in classes which extend beyond the classroom curriculum.  Children participate in the following weekly "Specials Classes:"
  • Physical Education - Preschool through Sixth Grade students participate in two 30 minute class periods each week.  The PE curriculum aligns with the State of Michigan and TCAPS standards of pyhiscal education. 
  • Music Education -  Preschool through sixth grade students parcipate in two 30 minute class periods each week.  The TCAPS Music curriculum involves vocal music, music and movenment and an introdcuation to instruments.
  • Elementary World Lanuguage -   First through sixth grade students partcipate in two 30 minute, Spanish  class perods each week.  The TCAPS Elementary World Language Department follows the Risas y Sonrisas Elementary Spanish Currilclum. 
  • Art Education -   Art is explored in all classroom settings.  Spefcific art instruction is given on a weekly basesis to all students at TCAPS Montessori students.
  • Library Education -   All students utlize our school's wonderful library.  Children are able to check out books on a weekly basis, as well as hear stories and complie research.
