 Senora Rucker's Spanish Class

Picture
Bienvenidos a la clase de español ~ Welcome to Spanish class!  I would like to take this opportunity to greet you and your child.  I feel privileged to be your child’s Spanish teacher for this school year.  Second language learning is an amazing opportunity for our children and I am thrilled to be facilitating students through this important learning endeavor.  Research proves that younger children are at an optimum time in their development to learn an additional language(s) with less inhibitions and more opportunity to have near native pronunciation.

I would like to introduce myself; my name is Tracy Rucker; the children will call me Señora Rucker.  This fall will encompass my 13th year of teaching, I am very eager to return to Elementary Spanish teaching and help facilitate TCAPS in the district-wide launch of this exciting program.  I would like to assure you I am a highly qualified teacher as I have my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University (with three minors in Language Arts, SPANISH, & Bilingual/Bicultural Education).  I have my Master’s in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College, the American Montessori Society Primary Certificate and several graduate courses in Education Administration & Technology.
