My name is Jen Hisem.  My passion of teaching became a reality in 2002, when I began my career in the Primary Environment.  There I discovered and fell in love with the Montessori Philosophy and I knew I would always be a Montessorian.

I stepped up to be a Lower Elementary Directress and taught at that level for 8 years.  During that time, my knowledge of the method grew and became a consultant for the Michigan Montessori Training Educaiton Center in Rochester Hills, MI.  Assisting others teachers as well as learning from them remains a joy to experience.

My love of learning and dream to teach every level, drove me to accept the Upper Elementary DIrectress position in 2010.  I now understand and have experienced the entire scope and sequence from primary to upper elementary.  Observing and acknowledging the stages of development greatly helped me become the teacher I am today.  I simply hope to become every child's favorite teacher!
