The social committee is about building a school community. TCAPS Montessori is not your typical neighborhood school, so we need to work a little harder to bring families together. One of the ways we do this is by hosting community events and activities. Some events include the entire school community, and some are smaller gatherings by grade level or classroom. Some events raise much needed funds, and others are simply for the enjoyment of gathering together.
In addition, we also host staff appreciation events – and provide staff meals during conferences or staff luncheons.
Finally, TCAPS Montessori believes in the importance of providing service beyond the bounds of our school. Our committee helps to coordinate events that involve charitable giving and community service activities.
Most importantly, we are all about having FUN! There are many different opportunities for you to become involved in building our school community. We welcome and encourage you to volunteer an hour or two of your time throughout the school year.
