Accomplishments!
Some accomplishments of the Montessori community since moving in to our current building:
· Primary playground completely redone– a 100% PTO effort
· Rain barrels and drip irrigation built and installed
· Wood chips replaced old sand on elementary playground
· Edging to contain woodchips installed
· Safety mats purchased and installed under swings and slides
· 17 trees planted
· Trash barrels added
· New sign with “Montessori” installed on building
· Mature trees pruned as needed
· Supported girls scouts planting bulbs
· Provided rakes, brooms, shovels, wheel barrows, and pitchforks for student use
· Assisted in construction of raised beds
Ongoing efforts can always use volunteers. We’ll gladly accept every hour that can be shared. True to Montessori, we’ll let you work at your own speed on whatever task you feel interested in. Yes, at times we have work days, and try to recruit large groups, but just as many hours are put in my individuals and groups of two or three (adults and/or kids).
